Scene one - Our singer is asleep in a barrack which is his home. We need to quickly show the audience our singer lives in poor conditions and his only possessions are his hat and his guitar. Our first shot is of the singer waking up, lighting a cigarette and beginning to play the guitar. He then slowly gets up and walks out onto the road, places his hat on the floor and starts busking to make what money he can. After not much success busking next to a busy road he gathers his belongings, slings his guitar over his back and begins walking down the road.

He finally gathers his things up again, throws his guitar over his shoulder and beings walking across a field.
